World Wide Money Exchange™ FAQ's

Q:  Are currency exchange rates better in the US or abroad?

A:  Although each currency exchange has their own rates, exchange rates should be competitive and similar everywhere.  What will vary is the fee amounts and structure.  World Wide Money Exchange™ fees are small and simple.

Q:  What is the fee to exchange?

A:  World Wide Money Exchange™ offers a flat, low fee amount of $5 to exchange any amount up to $500 US.  Amounts exceeding $500 US have a 1% fee added to the total transaction amount.

Q:  How long does it take to exchange currency?

A:  Transactions are fast and take no longer than 5 minutes.  Depending on the flight volume, there may be a small line.  We recommend arriving to the airport an additional 10-15 minutes early, to ensure travelers have plenty of time for the exchange.

Q:  Is there a minimum amount for an exchange?

A:  No. There is no minimum, however the smallest amount that can be purchased of any given currency is based on the smallest denomination available.

Q:  Is it more cost effective to exchange cash for currency, or to use a credit/debit card while traveling?

A:  Most credit cards and debits charge a flat fee every time the card is used abroad.  In many cases, the only way to avoid transaction fees on every purchase made abroad is by using currency.  Also, depending on the country and possible limitations on technology, it is always a good idea to have currency on hand.
